Return & Exchange Policy

At Modern Australian Boots, we’re here to look after you and your order, and we strive to ensure that all of our customers love their boots as much as we do. However, we understand that online purchases don’t always go as planned. In the unlikely event your order is not quite right, we are pleased to offer you a refund, exchange, or credit note, provided the conditions below are met.

1. Return Periods

  • Online purchases: Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery confirmation.
  • In-store purchases: Items must be returned within 21 days of purchase, with the original receipt.

2. Conditions of Return

To be eligible for a return, items must:

  • Be in original condition — unworn, unused, unwashed, tags attached, and in their original packaging.
  • Be packaged carefully to avoid damage in transit. Please place original stuffing inside the boots and return them in the box provided to prevent creasing or damage.
  • Not be customised or made-to-order. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for customised products such as monogrammed boots, denim/camo bonded boots, multi-coloured Criss Cross Slides, or other special orders.

3. What’s Included Under Returns

  • Refunds or credit notes are available for change of mind or incorrect sizing, provided conditions are met.
  • Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at no cost to you, in line with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

4. What’s Not Included

  • Items showing signs of wear, damage, or improper packaging during return transit.
  • Customised or personalised products.
  • Gift cards, clearance, or final-sale items.

5. How to Return

For Australian Customers

  • We DO NOT Offer return service via any postal services.
  • You may kindly arrange your own return shipping.

For International Customers

  • Customers outside Australia must organise and pay for their own return shipping.

Please include a completed Returns Form inside your parcel/package. This helps us process your return faster.

6. Quality Control & Processing

  • Upon arrival, items will be inspected by our quality control team to ensure they meet return standards.
  • Returns not in original condition, showing wear, or damaged in transit cannot be accepted.
  • Approved returns will be processed within 7–10 business days.

7. Refunds, Credits & Exchanges

  • Refunds: Processed back to the original payment method (excluding shipping fees, unless the item is faulty).
  • Credit Notes: Issued as a digital gift card to your email. Valid for 12 months and redeemable online.
  • Exchanges: Processed subject to stock availability. If your requested item is unavailable, we will issue a refund or credit note.
